According to our records, industrial water use in India stands at about 50 million cubic meters per day. This demand is expected to increase dramatically in the next decade.

This process has been adopted in many countries like Australia, Singapore, and several countries in the Middle East as they lack other major water resources.

Compared to the above-mentioned countries, India has much better resources, and the water crisis in India is predominantly a man-made problem. The misfortune of India is that it could have been largely avoided by better water and wastewater management practices. India, being an agricultural country, prioritizes fresh water supply to industries after drinking (civil supplies) and agriculture. Considering this, fresh water availability to industries is going to deteriorate considerably.
